Venice Beach belongs to more famous districts of western Los Angeles known for its sandy  beaches and tremendous boardwalk atmosphere. It has gained world   popularity thanks to the television coverage of the 1984 Summer Olympics which pictured this region as thriving with  all kinds of appealing amusement activities provided by   street performers, vendors, artists, musicians, body builders, palm readers.
