Things to do in Chicago - Mercury the Skyline Cruiseline
This is an interesting way of getting to know some interesting history of the city but also to get outstanding post card views from the boat. Depending on the time of year there are different tour options to choose from. Typically, two types of cruises are available:
- the First Lady – for tourists anxious to exerience informative cruise with focus on Chicago Architecture,
- the Mercury - for these tourists that seek regular sightseeing oportunities and entertainment
Leaving at different times throughout the day, it takes about 60/90/120 minutes for the cruiser to traverse the lakefront and the river. The cruises start at the south bank of the Chicago River, at Lower Wacker Drive, and Michigan Avenue. Tickets can be purchased one hour before departure, there is no need for earlier reservations. Both of the rides are relaxing and an attractive way to explore Chicago.
